Denver real estate residents enjoy close proximity to the "great outdoors" while maintaining the sophistication of an urban lifestyle. Those are the two things that locals really enjoy about the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado.  With snow capped peaks in the background Denver is both refined and casual with loads of indoor and outdoor activities.  The arts are very important and downtown as Denver has an extensive Performing Arts Center that includes the symphony, opera, ballet, and plays.  There are numerous micro-breweries, art festivals, bike trails  and parks all throughout Denver.  With its 300 glorious, sun-filled days every year, low humidity and few bugs, there is no problem seeing why people immediately fall in love with the Mile High City.

Denver's winters are usually quite mild, with a comfortable average daily high of 45 degrees; even 60 degree days are quite possible.  The snow

doesn't stick around very long in Denver so golf courses and other outdoor venues, like cafes, can stay open year-round.  You can enjoy low humidity, which creates gorgeous, sunny days and comfortably cool evenings in a Denver summer. In late summer, most days average at a comfortable 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of Denver's altitude, 5,280 feet above sea level, the "Mile High" city enjoys mild weather year-round.

And Sports!  Denver CO is a huge sports town!  We have professional teams for most sports: Nuggets (basketball), Broncos (football), Avalanche (hockey) and the Rockies (baseball) just to mention a few.  Winter brings skiing, snow boarding, ice skating and cross country skiing, extreme skiing - you name it and one can do it in Colorado... just minutes from Denver!

Denver CO Real Estate is made up of many eclectic neighborhoods with tiny boutiques, independent galleries, and interesting local restaurants.  Stop in at a

sidewalk coffee house and soak up the varied and interesting architecture of Denver's early homes such as Victorian, Denver Square, Tudor and mid-century modern.  North of the downtown area is the  River North Art District (RiNo) where you can stroll along the streets and mingle with creative artists while enjoying a host of art galleries and inviting cafes.

The incredible new section of the Denver Art Museum and the Public Library are only two of the multiple architectural marvels situated in a location of the city called the Golden Triangle Museum District. An exciting mix of city culture, Capitol Hill and Congress Park's historic mansions share space with newer apartments and condos, and the end result is an eclectic young community.

Also, check out the nightclubs of LoDo, and the homey, tree-lined streets of Old South Gaylord and Old South Pearl. Two of the more famous Denver landmarks are the French Gothic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and Colfax Avenue.

Stapleton, a newer section of Denver, boasts a wide variety of homes, restaurants and shops. You'll enjoy Denver's diverse collection of eateries, cafes and art galleries. Make sure you see Belmar, Lakewood's own "downtown" with entertainment and lots of good food.

The Cherry Creek North Business District offers many great eateries and great shopping with more than 320 shops, galleries, boutiques and spas which make this district the premier shopping area of Denver.

There are oodles of options for shopping, nightlife and eating out.  If you want to spend some time on Denver's trendiest block, go to Larimer Square, which is dotted with plenty of upscale shops and boutiques. The uptown area is filled with trendy shops, and fabulous views of the Rocky Mountains.

The Riverfront, a neighborhood on the South Platte River, is home to Elitch Gardens Amusement Park, the Children's Museum, and the Downtown

Aquarium. LoDo has recently enjoyed a rebirth as one of the city's most active areas, and features many activities.

Highland is Denver's largest neighborhood, made up of three diverse commercial districts; its Hispanic heritage and culture has gained renown after being featured in Travel + Leisure Magazine and National Geographic Traveler. Barely south of downtown on Santa Fe is The Art District, listing the largest concentration of art galleries in Colorado, and the very close Antique Row is also a popular attraction on South Broadway. Asian culture and cuisine are represented throughout the entire city.

You can quickly reach the little town of Golden; it's just a short drive northwest of Denver. Here you can visit the resting place of Buffalo Bill. A short drive to the southeast of Denver will put you in the middle of Historic Downtown Littleton. Here you will see the true meaning of "Main Street" America, as you enjoy the sights of the century old buildings that boast some of the area's most unique and privately owned businesses. One of the attractions for the visitors will be Olde Town Arvada.

Why are so many people attracted to Denver? One reason is the strength of its economy, which is better than many other major metropolitan areas. Metro Denver boasts a median household income which is 15.6 percent higher than the national average.

According to The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED), Metro Denver lists a population of 2.7 million, with a growth percentage that has

consistently outperformed the national rate every single decade, since the 1930s. The location still grows at a steady pace and averages 2% population increase in the last ten years. Also by 2030, Metro Denver's population is estimated to grow by nearly 50 percent to nearly 3.9 million, with 800,000 new careers being created.

Moving to the Mile High City? Denver's population is growing faster than almost anywhere else in North America because so many people move here after they visit and see how great it is. You too may fall in love with the Mile High charm!
