Lake in Aurora with Snowcapped Front Range MountainsAurora offers lots of recreation and entertainment for everyone!  We have award-winning public golf courses—all fun no matter what the skill sets!  There are two reservoirs:  Aurora Reservoir and the Quincy Reservoir.  People go there to enjoy water sports, open space, and the Colorado sunshine!  Aurora Reservoir features beach activities, diving, and boating, and you can hike or bike more than 8 miles of trails around the perimeter.  Or change it up.  Simply cast your line and say “Here, Fishy, Fishy.”  Whatever your pleasure, you’ll find it there!

Almost 2,000 acres of developed park land spread over 100 park sites offer residents a wide variety of facilities.  Enjoy baseball and soccer fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts, basketball courts, a disc golf course, a skateboard bowl, and a popular water spray ground.

Even as a younger area of the Denver Metro, Aurora offers many cultural activities.  For example, at the Aurora Fox Art Center, a restored 1940s-era movie house, one can enjoy comedy, drama, and musical productions throughout the year.  Aurora History Museum tells tales of Aurora’s past and present.
